Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 September 2026
1. The service
PitDesk answers inbound calls diverted from a garage's own phone line, takes booking details, checks availability against the garage's calendar, creates bookings, and notifies the garage by SMS.
2. Setting up
The customer diverts their own number to a PitDesk number. The customer can switch the divert off at any time using their network's own code.
PitDesk does not take ownership of, or control over, the customer's phone number.
3. Trial and fees
A 14-day free trial is offered. After the trial, fees are as shown on pitdesk.co.uk at the time of signup.
No minimum contract — the customer may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing month.
4. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate opening hours, services and pricing guidance
- Ensure they are entitled to divert the number they divert
- Review bookings made on their behalf
5. Limitations
PitDesk is an automated service and may occasionally mishear, misrecord or fail to capture a call.
It is not a substitute for emergency services. Callers reporting a life-threatening situation are told to call 999.
The agent does not give repair quotes, diagnoses or mechanical advice.
PitDesk is not liable for lost business, missed bookings, or indirect losses arising from service interruption, telephony provider outages, or errors in automated transcription. Total liability in any month is limited to the fees paid for that month.
6. Availability
We aim for continuous service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, as the service depends on third-party telephony and infrastructure providers.
7. Acceptable use
The service may not be used for unlawful purposes or to handle calls for a business other than the one registered.
8. Termination
Either party may end the agreement with notice. On termination, call diversion should be switched off by the customer; booking records already in the customer's calendar remain theirs.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
